Who can forget the 1964 Aston Martin DB5; it’s the car James Bond relied upon to get him out of a sticky situation in the movie ‘Goldfinger’, every time coming to the rescue. This iconic car was recently voted as the top luxury car used in a movie in an expert poll, which also featured Steve McQueen’s legendary mustang in ‘Bullitt’ and the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am from ‘Knightrider.’
The James Bond Aston Martin was a heavily adapted version of the original DB5, fitted with everything to keep him alive during the mission. With its bulletproof shield, revolving number plates and of course the ejector seat; the car never looked likely to let him down. The original 1964 model was sold at auction last year to American car enthusiast Harry Yeaggy for a cool £2.6 million.
While this car is clearly unavailable, it offers a timeless example of the superior vehicles Aston Martin have produced. Why not browse through our range of used Aston Martin vehicles and experience one of these quality vehicles for your self.
