With a New Year around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect time to sum up this exciting year highlighting some of our favourite cars which have passed through our doors in 2019.

2019 Hypercar of the Year – Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

It’s not often you get the opportunity to buy and sell one LaFerrari Aperta, let alone two in the same year. The most exclusive of all the halo Ferraris and arguably the most desirable car in the world today the LaFerrari Aperta was a straightforward choice for our Hypercar of the Year in 2019.

2019 Supercar of the Year – Ferrari 488 Pista

It is hard to deny that the 488 Pista has been the most in-demand supercar of 2019 and we’ve enjoyed selling several examples. Pushing the envelope on what is possible from a usable every-day track focused supercar in the 21st century, presented in a package of Italian flare, passion and pedigree hard to compete with in this market sector and that’s why it’s our Supercar of the Year in 2019.

2019 Future Classic of The Year – Ford GT

In a year where one of Hollywood’s very best movies was an automotive film called Le Mans ’66 we felt it was only right to hand the “Future Classic” award to the Ford GT, which was inspired by the legendary GT40, the car which Ford built to beat Ferrari at Le Mans which the film encapsulates so well.

2019 Favourite Spec of the Year – Ferrari F12berlinetta in “Verde Scuro”

A recent arrival to the Romans showroom but some of you will know this incredibly unique F12berlinetta has been in the personal collection of our chairman Paul Jaconelli for the last 18 months. With over £40,000 worth of Tailor Made Special Equipment including Green tinted carbon fibre and a signed engine bay by ex-Ferrari’s F1 drivers and ex Ferrari president this really deserves to take the top spot for our favourite spec car of the year.

2019 Luxury SUV of the Year – Mercedes-AMG G63

The G63 has always been one of our bestselling SUVs at Romans but this year we’ve seen demand taken to a whole new level. The new Mercedes AMG G63 has upped its game dramatically in key areas including the exterior design, cabin quality, performance and handling making it our standout pick as the luxury SUV of 2019.

2019 Most Charming Car of the Year – Fiat 500 Giardiniera

An enduring icon of Italian culture, this Fiat 500 Giardiniera was one of the most charming cars we’ve ever had at Romans. Freshly restored by Parisian Specialists to a very high standard, this slice of Italian automotive history had so much soul and character that made us all fall in love with it.
