Model Overview

Introduced in 2021, the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition was developed alongside the marque’s official Formula One Safety Car and represents the most focused version of the previous-generation V8 Vantage. Rather than simply adding cosmetic details, Aston Martin applied genuine aerodynamic and chassis upgrades designed to sharpen the car’s performance on both road and track.

Its AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 was increased to 535PS, while the eight-speed automatic transmission received revised calibration for faster and more decisive gear changes. Stiffer front suspension, retuned adaptive dampers, increased rear spring rates and additional structural reinforcement give the F1 Edition greater precision and composure than the standard Vantage. A substantial aerodynamic package, including an extended front splitter, dive planes, underbody turning vanes and a fixed rear wing, generates up to 200kg more downforce at maximum speed.

The F1 Edition Coupé is also immediately recognisable by its vaned front grille, quad exhaust outlets, carbon fibre exterior detailing and unique 21-inch alloy wheels. Available in several colours, it combines genuine Formula One influence with a far more dramatic appearance. With production now ended and the Vantage subsequently moving into a new generation, the F1 Edition remains one of the most distinctive and collectible derivatives of the earlier V8 model.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY

  • How clever Aston Martin has been to make the Vantage F1 Edition so much sharper on the road and keener on circuit without it being any more demanding in normal use. This is by some margin the Vantage you will want.
    The Intercooler
  • This is now a Vantage that really makes me want to drive it; always using the paddles, relishing pushing it and feeling the car at work. Even better, the suspension modifications don’t appear to have ruined the car’s GT credentials.
    EVO
  • The F1 Edition is the version that reveals the Vantage’s true potential and character. It channels a similar vibe to the old GT8, but moves the game on further.
