Model Overview

The 992.2 GT3 continues to represent one of the purest and most engaging performance cars available today. Powered by Porsche's naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six, revving to 9,000rpm and driving the rear wheels, it retains the analogue character that has made the GT3 such a benchmark driver's car. For this latest generation Porsche has further developed the chassis and aerodynamics, incorporating technology derived from the GT3 RS, while shorter gearing sharpens the response even further. Interestingly, while the Touring can now be specified with rear seats for the first time, the winged GT3 remains strictly a two-seater, reinforcing its more focused character and appeal to buyers wanting the more overtly motorsport-inspired version.

Finished in highly desirable Oak Green Neo Metallic, this particular example is further distinguished by the Weissach Package, offered on a non-RS GT3 for the first time. The package makes extensive use of exposed carbon fibre across the exterior, chassis and cabin, including the roof, rear wing elements and anti-roll bar, giving the car an even more special appearance while reducing weight. It is complemented by Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and the new Lightweight Sports Bucket Seats, which retain the support and visual drama of a full bucket seat while introducing a folding backrest for greater everyday usability. Front Axle Lift and BOSE Surround Sound add further usability to an already exceptionally desirable specification.

As naturally aspirated, high-revving performance cars become increasingly rare, the 992.2 GT3 occupies an increasingly special place in the modern Porsche range. Combining the focused two-seat configuration of the winged GT3 with the first-ever availability of the Weissach Package, and finished in one of Porsche's most desirable contemporary colours, this example brings together many of the features that make the latest GT3 so compelling. It remains a car that feels equally at home on a circuit or a Sunday morning drive, while offering a level of character and driver involvement that is becoming increasingly difficult to replicate.

  • The steering is exquisite: very direct but calm, and once that fabulous engine starts closing in on 9000rpm… It’s a wonderful thing.
    EVO
  • The naturally aspirated engine alone makes it something special in today's market.
