These changes include a larger front splitter, with a wider bumper grille to increase airflow, a new larger single-piece rear wing that sits higher and a more aerodynamically efficient rear diffuser, which now channels air between the two separate exhaust tips. These revisions have resulted in a 40% increase in downforce on the rear axle over its predecessor. A dry sump has also replaced the old wet sump, meaning the engine can sit lower in the chassis, which in turn lowers the centre of gravity. Despite the heavily track-oriented design, the 718 GT4 by no means compromises on comfort for everyday activities. The standard damper settings allow for a firm suspension feel that is not too harsh, but still allows you to feel connected to the road through all 4 wheels.
