The Carpathian Edition represents a limited-run flagship variant of the V8 Defender and is no longer available to order. Mechanically identical to the standard V8, it distinguishes itself through a bespoke styling package finished in premium Carpathian Grey metallic paint, overlaid with a Satin Paint Protection Film that both preserves and enhances its presence. Gloss black accents across the bonnet, wheels and exterior detailing complete the look, giving the Carpathian Edition a stealthy, almost military-inspired stance that perfectly suits the Defender’s rugged character.

The V8 Defender tops out the range and as the name suggests features the mighty supercharged 5.0L V8 which features in many other high powered JLR products producing a plentiful 525hp along with a healthy serving of 625Nm of torque. All of this results in some scarcely believable performance figures for a 2.5-ton behemoth of a car, 0 - 62mph takes just 5.4 seconds, topping out at just shy of 150mph. In order to reign all this extra grunt in Land Rover have kindly fitted the V8 with uprated suspension, beefier brakes and an all-new electronic differential and traction control program. Land Rover really have given this the full beans, making this the ultimate modern-day Defender.

This particular example has been taken even further by Urban, renowned for their luxury Land Rover enhancements. Their bold, distinctive conversion adds an extra layer of craftsmanship and exclusivity to what is already a highly desirable iteration of the modern Defender.
