The new Defender was arguably the most anticipated car of 2020, bringing the Defender into the modern era by applying the latest technology available from Land Rover. The upgrades are instantly apparent. From its modern edgy styling to the series of onboard computers and stability systems, the new Defender is without a doubt a change for the better. Incorporating computers into everything the Defender does makes for a much more refined driver experience over the previous analogue drive. The long suspension travel provides a soft and gentle ride, absorbing any imperfection in the terrain beneath it. Although it shows good on-road compliance, it is just as impressive off-road, easily navigating through any terrain with the clever Dynamic Stability Control and all-wheel drive system.
The ‘HSE’ variant is a high spec level, providing you with many cost options as standard. Highlight examples of these include Matrix LED Headlights, ClearSight rear view mirror and 14-way heated & cooled electric memory seats. This means the HSE is packed with technology inside and out – everything you need for your adventures on and off the road. The D300 packs a potent 296bhp, high torque diesel engine, which also manages a relatively economical 29.4mpg on the combined cycle. The new Defender has truly been redefined, whilst still demonstrating the original purpose of what the Land Rover Defender was originally designed to achieve. In addition, this example is a 'Hard Top' car, meaning it's meant for more commercial purposes - sporting a divider behind the front seats allowing for extensive increases in storage space.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- A rugged SUV that fuses fantastic off-road ability with decent on-road manners
- The exterior design of the 110 is, we think, masterful. It envokes the old one yet it's completely modern. The boxiness is just right for a hardcore 4x4 SUV
- It's clearly a more modern and luxurious car than before, but the Defender has lost none of its ability to tackle whatever conditions are thrown its way.
