The F8 Spider occupies an increasingly significant position in Ferrari’s history. It represents the final chapter of the marque’s long-running lineage of series-production, mid-engined V8 supercars, a bloodline stretching through cars such as the 360, F430, 458 and 488 before the F8 was effectively succeeded by the V6 hybrid 296 GTB. Its 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 720PS, making it one of the most powerful conventional V8 Ferraris ever produced.

Unlike the 458 and 488 generations before it, the F8 never received a more extreme Speciale or Pista-style derivative. As a result, the F8 stands alone as the ultimate development of this particular Ferrari formula rather than sitting beneath a later lightweight model. Combined with its status as the last non-hybrid car of its kind, this has helped drive a noticeable resurgence in demand and values, with the F8 increasingly being viewed as a genuine future-classic Ferrari.
