The partnership between Aston Martin and Zagato is one of the most celebrated in the automotive world, dating back to the legendary DB4 GT Zagato of 1960. The Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is arguably one of the most intriguing results of that relationship, combining Aston Martin’s naturally aspirated V12 grand tourer with the drama of Italian coachbuilding and the rarity of just 99 examples worldwide. Its elongated double-bubble roof and extended rear bodywork give it a completely different character to the rest of the Vanquish Zagato family, while signature details such as the enlarged ‘Z’ grille and Vulcan-inspired blade rear lights ensure there is no mistaking it for anything else.

This particular example is finished in Lava Red, the launch colour for the Vanquish Zagato, over Pure Black leather and benefits from a particularly desirable specification. The £19,995 Villa d’Este Pack adds bronzed anodised side strakes, bronze-finished interior detailing and distinctive graduated ‘Z’ quilting, while the gloss twill carbon fibre roof further emphasises the car’s dramatic profile. It also features the rarely specified £12,495 carbon fibre boot floor, extending the carbon theme into the rear luggage area and adding another unusual factory option to an already exceptional specification. Furthermore, the car is protected by full PPF and is complimented by an extended Aston Martin warranty.

Part grand tourer, part estate car and part design statement, there is something particularly special about a coachbuilt V12 Shooting Brake. With just 99 examples produced, a naturally aspirated V12, one of the most distinctive silhouettes of any modern Aston Martin and a specification that includes some of the model’s most desirable options, this example represents a rare opportunity to acquire arguably the most characterful member of the Vanquish Zagato family.
