The Ferrari 488 Pista brought turbocharging into Maranello’s special-series V8 lineage, translating lessons from the 488 Challenge and 488 GTE into a more focused version of the 488 GTB. Its 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 720 cv and 770 Nm, but the Pista’s significance goes beyond outright power. Reduced weight, competition-derived aerodynamics and the Formula 1-inspired S-Duct gave it the response and intensity expected of Ferrari’s most driver-focused V8 models.
Blu Le Mans 2-layer metallic paint gives this example a more understated character, offset by a two-tone livery in Bianco Avus and Rosso Corsa Metallic. The dark forged wheels, red brake calipers and extensive exterior carbon fibre sharpen the appearance without overwhelming the colour. Inside, Blu Medio Alcantara is paired with Bianco stitching, white leather details and matching dreamlines, while the carbon fibre Daytona racing seats and matt carbon trim carry the same theme through the cabin.
Its specification balances that track-led character with the equipment needed to enjoy the car regularly, including a suspension lifter, racing seat lifter, parking camera, adaptive front lighting and JBL audio. With PPF protecting the key exterior surfaces and carbon components, it is of incredibly comprehensive specification - with its colours, materials and options working together to create one of the most well-rounded Pistas we have seen.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Throttle response is uncannily sharp, and from there the motor simply erupts, the numbers on the digital speedo rising too quickly to process, the onslaught quickly punctuated by the pitch tone that betrays your brain has subconsciously hooked the next gear with a paddle.
- Despite the prodigious power and neck muscle-spraining acceleration, the Pista is genuinely docile and tractable around town.
- Like the most ferocious gearchanges of any factory car I’ve driven. They hammer home physically enough as you paddleshift up through ratios, but down? Oh god, it’s almost inappropriate to talk about in polite company.
