The 911 Carrera 4 GTS is renowned as one of the most driver focused models in the range with its perfect blend of comfort and performance. It sits in between a regular Carrera S and the full blooded 911 GT3. Porsche has taken a regular Carrera S and gone to town on the performance upgrades, including; increased power by 30bhp, centrally locking alloy wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with sports chassis (lowering the ride height by 20mm) and Sport Chrono which incorporates dynamic engine mounts and switchable sports exhaust system. Also, the addition of the number 4 just before the GTS badge denotes the number of driven wheels, giving the Carrera 4 GTS superior traction, acceleration and all-weather drivability.
It's important to note that this is the Gen II 991 GTS and like the rest of the series, it received a welcome number of updates over the first generation including a new 3.0L turbocharged flat-six engine. Overall the GTS is for the enthusiast who would like a 911 GT3 but is not prepared to put up with the on-road compromises inherent with such a track orientated car and it fulfils this position perfectly in true Porsche style.
