The Mercedes AMG GT R Pro is the next step up from the AMG GT R, having been given several upgrades in order to take the product of a well performing AMG GT R even further. New features have descended from the AMG GT3 and GT4 racing cars and entered into the development of the AMG GT R Pro, in order to further advance the track capabilities. Included in the additional features are re-designed front and rear carbon fibre diffusers with the front splitter being mounted by milled aluminium brackets, increasing downforce and aerodynamic efficiency. These additions allow the GT R Pro to lap the Nürburgring around 7 seconds faster than the AMG GT R, with a time of 7 minutes 4.6 seconds.
The advanced on-board systems provide you with the AMG TRACK PACE data logger, which records data when driving on track. This means that 80 specific sets of data are gathered at a rate of 10 times per second, providing the driver with ample information, ultimately leading the driver to hone and develop their driving skills. The AMG GT R Pro showcases Mercedes advancement in motorsport technology and then fine tuning it to result in one of the most exciting road cars on the market which doubles up as a truly riotous track toy.
"That sense of theatre is something the Pro never loses, there is never a dull moment." - EVO
"Additional chassis and aero tweaks make AMG's GT R track toy quicker and more approachable at speed." - Car & Driver
"It really is in a class of its own as its layout, engine and general thuggish sensibility is completely different to the competition." - Top Gear
