The second-generation Audi R8 had been redesigned from the ground up as it aimed to build on the original R8's success. This was no mean feat as its predecessor was heralded by many experts as one of the finest sports cars ever made. The R8 is now only available with the naturally aspirated V10 engine derived from the Lamborghini Huracan, whilst there is no manual gearbox anymore with Audi confident that the car is best suited to its super slick shifting S-Tronic transmission. With more muscular styling, a lighter chassis and a much more refined interior than the first generation, the R8 is now a bona-fide supercar with real character.

The V10 Plus is the top-of-the-range trim level and the most powerful of the second-generation models.
