The Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is one of those rare cars that does everything properly well. It’s brutally quick when you want it to be, but just as comfortable and easy to use day to day. The 992 generation marked a big step forward, with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six producing 641bhp and delivering relentless performance in any gear. Porsche claimed 0–62mph in 2.9 seconds, but as ever that feels conservative in the real world. Even with newer models now arriving, this remains an incredibly capable and usable version of the Turbo S - and one that still feels every bit as fast as you’d expect. With the roof down, it’s even more engaging, adding a layer of sound and theatre that really sets it apart.

Visually, it’s unmistakably 911, just sharper and more purposeful than what came before. Wider rear arches, aggressive bumpers and subtle aerodynamic tweaks give it real presence without overdoing it. Inside, it’s solid, high-quality and properly driver-focused, with a low seating position and a clean, modern layout centred around Porsche’s intuitive infotainment system. It strikes a balance that’s hard to beat - serious performance, everyday usability and open-top appeal - which is exactly why the 992 Turbo S Cabriolet still stands out as one of the most complete all-round convertibles on the market, even with the latest version now available.
