This Range Rover P550e is part of the Range Rover's new plug-in electric hybrid range (PHEV), combining a 3.0L 6-Cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor to reduce emissions, increase range, and bring the brand into its more sustainable future. The 550e is the top of the range and it's introduction coincided with the 2024 model year changes which include a revamped interior and effectively it replaced the P510e with a new, improved model which is both more powerful and more efficient.
With one's carbon footprint at the forefront of many people's decision-making these days the Hybrid models definitely attract the more eco-conscious buyer but it's the tax breaks and emission zone benefits which make it the smart buy as well. If running a car through your company the reduction in benefits-in-kind taxes can make a big difference and the ability to charge the car at your home, or whilst on the road using a network of electric car chargers ensure any inconvenience is minimal. Land Rover claim that you can reach an MPG of 366.8mpg, with 75 miles of pure electric range, which should comfortably covering your daily commute and city driving trips.
Overall it's clear that the luxurious nature of the Range Rover is perfectly suited to the augmented peace and quiet which electrification brings as well as a whopping amount of torque and impressive handling to appease the driving enthusiasts too.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Range Rovers have always majored on soothing luxury so mooching around in EV mode feels like a very natural step for this car to have made. Few cars make the transformation into electrification feel as natural.
- If you keep your Range Rover PHEV charged up at home it’ll use next to no petrol and be quite cheap to run.
- Ultimately, a car like this is meant to deliver unrivalled luxury, and this plug-in version climbs to higher heights than any model so far.
