Video Walkaround
Whilst Land Rover introduced the option of a 7 seat variant on the new Range Rover Long Wheelbase (LWB) opening up the Range Rover to larger families, there is also still the option of having a 5 seat version for the LWB, which is actually significantly more expensive and holds numerous benefits. Significant sacrifices in luxury were made on the 7 seat version in order to house the additional seats, most notably on the middle row seats in which you are not able to select the rear executive seats. No such problem exists on the 5 seat version of the LWB in which the Autobiography variant includes the Executive Rear Seats as standard. Not only do you get the deployable centre armrest but you also get reclining and ventilated rear seats which can be upgraded further. There is also additional leg room over and above the 7 seat version which is why the 5 seat variant will appeal more as a chauffeur car and is the perfect choice for those looking for one of the most spacious and comfortable limousine style cars on the market and have no requirement for 7 seats.
The “D350” badge denotes Land Rover’s latest-generation 3.0L inline-six diesel, and for a car of this size, the diesel is arguably the most complete engine choice. It delivers effortless low-down pulling power, smooth performance at any speed, and outstanding refinement thanks to the mild-hybrid system which keeps stop-start transitions barely noticeable. Most importantly, the D350 offers significantly better real-world fuel economy than the petrol equivalents, giving owners far superior range - crucial for long motorway journeys, chauffeuring duties or daily luxury use.
Quiet, torquey and incredibly efficient for a full-size luxury SUV, the D350 suits the relaxed, limousine-like character of the LWB Autobiography perfectly and remains the preferred engine for those prioritising comfort, economy and long-distance refinement.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- And now, when they’ve been refined to near-perfection, as represented by the D350 – that is, cleaner than some petrols and efficient beyond belief.
- The Range Rover blends luxury, comfort and driver engagement better than anything else out there for the money.
- Simply put, one of the best luxury-vehicle experiences money can buy right now. Its on-road demeanor is next to none, and it has a style and presence that many other luxury cars can't match.
