Model Overview
Aston Martin Racing or ‘AMR’ is a sub-division of Aston Martin that is divided into two tiers – the series production V8 & V12 Vantage AMR and the AMR Pro. The Vantage AMR became the final production model of the previous shape Vantage. The AMR division focuses on incorporating motorsport inspiration into its cars by means of appearance and performance.
Available for the Vantage AMR was the Halo Pack, which dressed the exterior in a unique combination of Stirling Green paint with a Lime Green stripe. This idea was borrowed from Aston Martin’s number 95 Vantage GTE car that won the 2016 World Endurance Championship. For this reason the same exterior design has been seen on the Vantage GT8, a rad car based off of the WEC race car. This distinctive colour scheme is matched to a unique interior combination, where the Halo Pack Stirling Green cars received Copper Tan leather with Lime Green accents to complement the exterior.
The Vantage AMR uses the same 4.7L V8 from the Vantage is with no power increase. Despite the lack of any engine tweaks, the sound emitted from the exhaust is pure and aggressive, a sound impossible to tire from. This example is equipped with the optional 6-speed manual gearbox, which feels much more natural when paired to the naturally aspirated V8, allowing the driver to fully immerse themselves into the experience. A total of 200 Vantage V8s in both coupe and roadster guise were available worldwide, adding to the collectability of this special car.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- In many ways it drives in the manner its beefy but elegant looks suggest, with a reassuring weight to all the controls that’s complemented by a really ‘mechanical’ sense of tactility.
- The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the best-looking cars on the road, and it's a treat to drive as well.
- Aston Martin has changed radically in the past 15 years and no vehicle epitomises that development better than the V8 Vantage, the baby of the range. It's the car that has undoubtedly played the biggest part in the brand’s revival over the past decade.
