Lamborghini Aventador J sold before being unveiled in Geneva

The 2012 Geneva Motor Show is currently in full swing and undoubtedly one of the top luxury cars of the show and crowd pleasers is the Lamborghini Aventador J. The car was designed and produced from a remit by the CEO Stephan Winkelmann who asked the Lamborghini design team to come up with ‘something special’ for the Geneva show.

So the Lamborghini Aventador J was born, a very special (and one-off Lamborghini) edition of the current Aventador LP700-4 supercar, which features the same 690bhp V12 engine, seven-speed I.S.R. transmission and four-wheel-drive system. Although this model dispenses with the roof and windows (which sheds around 200kg) and offers some truly amazing aerodynamic and carbon-fibre technology bodywork design.

Amazingly before the curtains were drawn and the unveiling ceremony had commenced in Geneva the Lamborghini Aventador J had been sold to a wealthy Lamborghini enthusiast for £1.75m.
