Bentley SUV and hybrid models announced

With the green revolution continuing apace, luxury car manufacturer Bentley have announced their intention to produce a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Wolfgang Durheimer, CEO of Bentley, has revealed that his company will work with others in the Volkswagen Group – such as Porsche and Audi – to help create a purpose-made electric hybrid motor that will operate alongside the 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged V8 and W12 engines. This combination will no doubt lead to a driving experience that is at once powerful, economical and eco-friendly.

Equally exciting is the news that plans for the much-awaited Bentley SUV are now apparently close to completion. With production approval expected to be granted within a matter of weeks and the design of the vehicle all but concluded, it looks like this extraordinary concept is finally going to become a reality.
