The 718 Spyder is essentially a drop-top version of the Cayman GT4, the Spyder features a lightweight fabric manually removable roof allowing driver's to enjoy the immense 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six in a way they have never been able to previously.
With the small dimensions and immense handling carried over from the GT4, the Spyder is the perfect allrounder, especially with the open top on a summer's day. The chassis and engine combination, paired with that high-revving visceral noise delivered from the engine that sits closely behind you, works astoundingly well.
Aesthetically, the car features an elongated rear deck with speedster-style double-bubbles behind the driver and front passenger, and the front end has been subtly-yet-tastefully updated, with larger front grilles. This, combined with enhanced aerodynamics, combine to form the ultimate Spyder alternative to the GT4.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Its throttle response, smoothness, high-range flexibility and linearity of delivery are all breathtakingly good.
- The Porsche 718 Spyder is a rare gem of a sports car, there is nothing else like it at the price.
- The engine, gearbox and chassis combine in spectacular fashion to create a car we’d be equally happy to take on track or on a long motorway slog.
