Model Overview

Making its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2013, the Jaguar Project 7 was an instant hit. Originally built as a concept car to celebrate Jaguar’s seven wins at Le Mans, the car was so popular that the British manufacturer decided to make a limited run of 250 vehicles based on the original concept. Building upon on the Jaguar F-Type, with inspiration from the classic Jaguar D-Type of the 1950s, the Project 7 has various upgrades over the standard model. Including carbon fibre aerodynamic features, a removable soft-top, plenty of weight saving, and a 5.0L Supercharged V8 engine, this is a huge upgrade from the standard F-Type. Producing 567bhp, and getting from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, this is one of the most visceral driving experiences Jaguar offers.

As Jaguar’s most performance focused and powerful car when it was released, the Project 7 is a true display of what Jaguar is capable of. Featuring plenty of performance engineered parts, such as an eight-speed Quickshift transmission, Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes, Torque Vectoring by Braking, and a new suspension system, the Project 7 aims to excite and engage the driver like no other Jaguar before.

The most impressive, and most distinguishable feature, is the incredible soundtrack produced by the V8 powertrain. The Project 7 lets out an unhinged roar, screaming and crackling from the second you put your foot to the pedal. You can treat yourself to even more of the aural insanity by removing the roof and letting the cabin fill with more of the engine’s distinctive growl.
There are few cars that can put a smile on your face and a tingle in your spine like the Project 7. With a very limited 250 vehicles produced, and only 80 cars delivered to the UK, this is a rare chance to own such a unique and special vehicle.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY

  • This engine was always a mighty, mighty performer and the noise is almost comically OTT. It howls and crackles and booms on the overrun, the swirling air just adding to the sense of occasion. It really was an experience to make you smile.
    EVO
  • It's a proper zoo: growling, howling, popping, backfiring. The Project 7 not subtle, but it is joyously characterful, and a little bit addictive. In fact, you end up playing games with it, to see if you can make it do the whipcrack backfire just one more time.
    Top Gear
  • A few things stick out in particular: the firmer front springs bring an incredible level of stability to the rear during heavy braking.
