The BMW X4 M Competition is a high-performance SUV powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine producing 503 bhp. It accelerates from 0ā62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, combining aggressive M styling with luxury and cutting-edge tech. On the outside, it wears bold Mādesign touches: large alloy wheels, quad exhausts, sporty bodywork, and bespoke āCompetitionā styling elements. Inside, luxury meets raceācar inspiration with M sports seats, carbon fibre trims (if chosen), premium finishes, and upātoādate infotainment. With BMWās xDrive all-wheel drive and adaptive M suspension, it delivers sharp handling, though the ride can be firm. Itās a bold blend of power, style, and practicality.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- It's seriously fast, as the 0-62 implies. The engine will rev out to 7.200, and thanks to variable exhaust valves it sounds aristocratic as it goes. There's none of the juvenile popping and farting of an AMG, and that's OK by me.
- The eight-speed automatic transmission is excellent in the X4. It shifts smoothly and quickly, while the separate drive modes mean the gearbox is able to change its shift points that improves better response or economy depending on the selected mode.
- The BMW X4 M Competition is hugely fast and more agile than an SUV has any right to be.
