The 2012 Geneva Motor Show is one of the most significant automotive events in the motoring world’s calendar and is set to be an exciting time for new luxury cars, as many manufacturers will be unveiling their new models and showing off the futuristic concepts of the year.

One of the 260 exhibitors at the show that will be unveiling a world premiere is the German car manufacturer Porsche, who will be presenting the all-new Porsche Boxster for 2012. The new Boxster (otherwise known as the 981) is the 3rd generation of the range and will see many improvements and updates from the previous models.

The standard model will receive a new 2.7 litre flat-six engine, which is expected to produce 265bhp, whereas the Boxster S’s equivalent specification will be 315bhp. The gearbox options will offer a revised 7-speed PDK, which is also seen in the 911 and the Panamera, but 6-speed transmission for the manual option. Tomorrow is the big day when Porsche will be unveiling this car at their press conference

So, if you are interested in the new Porsche 981 Boxster or you are currently considering purchasing a used Porsche, then maybe it is time to talk to one of the top UK Porsche dealers, Romans International.
