Porsche Cayman wins special award

The Porsche Cayman R has walked away with the title of Britain’s Best Driver’s Car for 2011 by Autocar magazine. The winner of this coveted award was revealed from the magazines annual long-term Test Car Awards, where Autocar staff had to live day-in, day-out with a selcted car and grade it on particular attributes.

Overall there were 17 shortlisted contenders for the awards. During 2011, motoring journalists covered more than 250,000 miles on UK and European roads, as well as some test track driving.

As well as the title of Britain’s Best Driver’s Car for 2011 the Porsche Cayman R has also been coined as the best B-Road Thrash, awarded simply for giving the driver the best thrill, spills and excitement on challenging roads.
