Last week’s BBC Children In Need event saw a charity event raise an added £240,000 by auctioning a new 2012 Bentley Continental GTC at a special dinner event. This charity event took place 24 hours before the Children In Need Rocks concert in Manchester and was organised as part of the fund raising for this years’ event.

The guest list consisted of some of the most desirable UK A-list celebrities, among the 400 strong guests included were JLS, Jason Donovan, Coleen Rooney, Chris Moyles, Kelly Rowland, Sir Terry Wogan and the man behind this special event Gary Barlow.

The Bentley Continental GTC convertible which was auctioned was the new 2012 model, which has just been released in the USA. The new version features a more powerful W12 engine, which produces 567bhp, a top speed of 195mph and 0-60 in an amazing 4.5 seconds, aided by Bentleys four wheeled drive. This car benefits from reduced weight from a lighter body and chassis, which gives the new GTC some impressive figures.
