The Porsche 997 GT2 RS sits among the greatest modern 911s ever built. Limited to just 500 examples worldwide, it paired Porsche's legendary twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre Mezger flat-six with a six-speed manual gearbox, sending 612 bhp exclusively to the rear wheels. With extensive use of carbon fibre, polycarbonate rear glazing and a single-mass flywheel helping reduce weight to just 1,370kg, it remains the most powerful production Porsche ever offered with a manual gearbox.
Finished in Black, our C16 UK-supplied example is particularly unusual for having been ordered in the rare Comfort specification, with Adaptive Sports Seats and deletion of the Club Sport Package. Against the more overtly track-focused specification typically associated with the GT2 RS, it gives this car a noticeably more understated character while retaining the same extraordinary performance underneath.
The car has since been fitted with Porsche Carbon Fibre Bucket Seats, while importantly its original factory Adaptive Sports Seats remain with the car and are included in the sale. The next owner therefore has the choice between the more focused current configuration or returning the car entirely to its original factory specification.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Porsche’s history with turbocharging is as rich as its narrative with racing and the 997 GT2 RS being the most potent road 911 of all time.
- This is a remarkable car. Veyron aside, it’s the fastest road car I’ve driven – but it’s completely useable and it still involves you in the process.
- I think it’s fairly safe to say that, in 10 years time, when the combustion engine is but a relic of the past, the 997-generation Porsche 911 will be considered a high watermark for the analogue sports car.
