The Land Rover Defender OCTA Edition One is the high-performance flagship of the Defender 110 lineup - limited to its first production year. Under its bonnet is a BMW-sourced 4.4 L twin‑turbo mild‑hybrid V8, delivering 626 bhp and up to 750 Nm of torque, enough to sprint from 0–62 mph in 4.0 seconds - the fastest Defender ever. To harness that power, Land Rover fitted the OCTA with an advanced 6D Dynamics hydraulic suspension, a raised ride height, widened track, extended wheel arches to house massive 33-inch all-terrain tyres, and beefed-up underbody protection. The Edition One adds exclusive visual flair - Faroe Green paint, chopped carbon‑fibre accents, and Khaki/Ebony 3D‑knit Ultrafabrics interior trim with new “Body & Soul” performance seats that deliver immersive audio plus wellness programmes. In essence, the Defender OCTA Edition One blends wild off-road capability, blistering on-road pace, and luxury detailing - making it the most extreme, most exclusive Defender to date.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Put aside your SUV cynicism. The Land Rover Defender Octa is credit to SVO, with 911 GT3 levels of engineering that's an unexpected thrill to drive.
- One short push on the rather cheap looking Octa button on the lower part of the steering wheel takes us into Dynamic mode. This perks things up considerably. Steering, throttle, suspension and exhaust note all get more alert and responsive. But the big news here is the 6D dynamics air suspension tech.
- So, more performance off-road and more performance on it. Add in one metre of wading depth and you’re left with something very special and unique.
