Video Walkaround
The Honda NSX is a car that has somewhat flown under the radar, often dubbed a ‘baby 918 Spyder’ it was one of the first hybrid supercars, blending a twin-turbo V6 with cutting-edge tech years ahead of its time. While not a plug-in hybrid, it laid the blueprint for the V6 hybrid powertrains we’re seeing everywhere today.
In 2019 Honda announced they were releasing an updated model for the NSX which featured a host of revisions that quietly elevated the car to a new level. With only 5 facelift cars ever believed to have been delivered to the UK, this later model became even more exclusive. Subtle styling tweaks, improved software, and suspension upgrades all came together to sharpen the driving experience with the end result being a car that felt more cohesive, more composed, and more rewarding than ever before.
An often-overlooked gem that was years ahead of its time, the NSX now feels like a car whose moment might finally be coming. A hybrid supercar with real-world usability, limited numbers, and genuine driver engagement - this is modern classic territory. And with cars like this becoming harder to find, we wouldn’t be surprised if values quietly followed suit.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- It’s startlingly quick too. Full throttle is like being launched from a trebuchet. One second you’re stationary, the next you’re at the legal limit. The electric motors basically eliminate any slack over the few tenths it takes for the V6 to fill its lungs.
- While it still offers pure thrills – and brutal speed – you’ll find so many other ways to enjoy the NSX, with depths to its ability even crawling through town, where you’ll attempt to coast along in electric mode as much as possible.
- Thanks to the tweaks seen in the 2019 facelift, the NSX has a layer of engagement to go with the ferocious speed, mind-boggling tech and everyday usability.
