Model Overview

With only 799 examples ever produced, the Ferrari F12 TDF is already a modern classic, with demand for used cars ever increasing year-on-year. The TDF is based on – as the name suggests – the F12 Berlinetta, sharing many of the same features just with improvements to bring this car to another level of performance and road presence. It shares the same 6.3L V12 engine with the F12, but boasts a staggering 769bhp and revs to 8900rpm, resulting in impressive performance figures. 0-62mph takes just 2.9 seconds, and top speed climbs to 211mph. These figures are also a result of revisions to the F1 DCT gearbox, which now allows 30% faster upshifts and 40% faster downshifts.

There is an obvious focus on aerodynamics and performance with the TDF, even just from an initial glance. The carbon-clad body along with added bonnet, side and rear vents allow for not only a dramatic weight saving of over 110kg, but increased downforce and therefore track performance unmatched by very few previous Ferrari Models.

On the design front, the TDF does a fantastic job of staying true to the F12 on which it’s based, while bringing more menacing lines and exterior carbon parts to an already beautifully designed supercar. According to Ferrari, their mission was to smoothly integrate lighter and more performance-focused parts into the F12 Berlinetta’s design and maintain its smooth lines for aesthetic, weight-saving and aerodynamic reasons. Moving to the interior, the cabin of the F12 TDF is spartan yet still manages to bring an element of luxury to the driver and passenger. The materials used in the cockpit comprise of mostly bare carbon fibre, technical fabric, Alcantara and aluminium with, as Ferrari puts it, “the aim of saving every last ounce of weight”.

Named after the Tour De France automobile race that Ferrari dominated from 1956 to 1964, the F12 TDF was unveiled in 2015 and designed by Ferrari Styling Centre as a more hardcore, track-oriented version of the F12 Berlinetta. It was an instant success upon start of production and has remained one of the most sought-after and collectible production Ferraris ever since.
