Ferrari created the 599 SA Aperta to celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, limiting production to just 80 examples worldwide. The ‘SA’ honours Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina, while Aperta is Italian for ‘open’. Beneath the bonnet sits the 599 GTO-derived 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 661 bhp, paired with a 6-speed F1 transmission, while a lower ride height and recalibrated dampers further distinguish its chassis.

This example is finished in the historical colour of Blu Scuro which traces back to the early grand tourer Ferraris from the 1960s, and complimented here with contrasting the optional Grigio painted carbon fibre roof panels and a the front bumper and grille from the 599 GTO. Inside there is a charcoal leather interior with the carbon fibre racing seats accented by Bianco piping and central strip with blue seat belts. The spec is accompanied by Ferrari Classiche Certification and an extensive history file, adding provenance for what is believed to be just one of just eight UK-supplied examples.
