Being the successor to the well-regarded Ferrari F430 Spider, the 458 Spider had some big boots to fill as the next āJunior Ferrariā, in a long line of spectacular examples since the Dino - and fill them it did. The arrival of this particular car has been widely praised as a landmark in Ferrariās long history and one of the best all-round supercars Ferrari have ever produced, representing a massive technological leap forward over its predecessors. With a 4.5L V8 developing over 550bhp and howling to a 9,000rpm redline, this was no longer a āJunior Ferrariā and allowed the 458 to enter higher territory, outgunning Ferrariās flagship V12 at the time, the 599GTB, around the Fiorano test track.
Using Formula 1 technology the 458 features vastly improved aerodynamics without making any aesthetic sacrifices, in fact it has been acknowledged as one of the most attractive Ferraris in recent memory. This car manages to be both thrilling to drive and incredibly accessible, combining brilliant handling, superb levels of grip and ferocious acceleration. The cabin is totally driver focused with most controls easily accessible from the steering wheel, combined with a huge range of bespoke trim and detailing adding to the sense of occasion and individuality. The singing naturally aspirated V8 combined with the convertible roof makes the 458 Spider one of the most desirable supercars for sale today and earning it a well-deserved place in Ferrariās illustrious history.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Few supercars have aged so gracefully; the 458 remains thrilling, engaging and deeply desirable today.
- Itās hard to think of a modern supercar that has exerted such staying power in the collective consciousness of enthusiasts.
- With the noise from the V8 engine, the performance and the rush of air, driving it is a more visceral experience than the coupe.
