Revised for the 2022 model year, the X3M Competition receives updated styling and an increase in performance. 503 bhp is produced from the 3.0L Twin-Turbo Inline 6 with an increased torque figure by 50 Nm for more low-end grunt. Despite mostly using the same engine, the crankshaft from the G80 series M3 and M4 has been adopted to reduce weight and friction. Other developments have been made in order to allow the engine to perform better when under load, like on a track for example. The figures support its track competence, with a 0-62mph time of only 3.8 seconds and paired with the M Sports Exhaust that comes as standard, it also sounds the part. The updated styling includes a new M specific rear spoiler, larger diffusers and more aggressive styling features. The redesigned rear LED taillights complete the updated and punchy look, perfectly complimenting the performance on offer.
