The Vantage is a name synonymous with Aston Martin and it has remained a stalwart of different era's. In 2018 Aston Martin released their facelift Vantage which was a radical change from the previous Vantage with bold new muscle car looks and a brand new 4.0L V8 BiTurbo engine courtesy of AMG. A new partnership had developed with Mercedes and it allowed Aston Martin to tap into the tech-focused German behemoths for new infotainment and electronic systems making for a more reliable and contemporary package.
Crucially though Aston Martin were left in charge of all the bits that we loved such as the elegant yet aggressive body styling, raucous exhaust system and a beautifully appointed leather cabin. Whilst a new generation of Vantage has since been released, this generation of Vantage now offers exceptional value for what is the best of both worlds, German efficiency and reliability partnered with exquisite British design, heritage and soul.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- It can perform at close to supercar pace and now has fully formed track handling credentials, but it is also more characterful and fun at everyday speeds than plenty of its opponents.
- The ride exhibits a welcome comfort even on pockmarked roads, while the slick eight-speed box shuffles through its ratios pretty seamlessly.
- It sounds a little subdued in Sport, but switch to Sport+ or Race and the V8’s sonic potential is uncorked. The changes to induction and exhaust deliver a richer, more cultured soundtrack than the bombastic NASCAR bellow you get with this engine in a Mercedes.
