The DBX marks a substantial turning point in Aston Martin’s over 100-year history, being the brand’s first ever SUV. The intention was to create a vehicle that could adapt to an array of different driving situations, whether you’re navigating a country road or exploring the dunes of a desert, the DBX provides a luxurious but also dynamic driving experience. Despite its size, the SUV can still be easily distinguished as an Aston Martin due to the DBX’s iconic ‘DB’ grille along with its rear end which resembles the Vantage.
The Aston Martin DBX707 pushes out an immense 707PS (hence the name) from its 4.0L twin-turbo V8. Along with this immense amount of power comes some serious performance figures. The Aston Martin DBX707 is capable of hitting a top speed of 193mph and launches from 0-62 seconds in an eye-watering 3.3 seconds. These are serious performance figures from second iteration of the first SUV ever produced by Aston Martin. Differences to the standard DBX include a new wet plate clutch to ensure longevity and better gearbox performance, more menacing and bodywork with a quad exit exhaust system and a host of other performance and cosmetic upgrades.

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
- Ultimately, no other super-SUV feels as intuitive as this new DBX. To guide along good roads, it is truly satisfying, and the comprehensive 707 chassis revisions allow the car to feel a great deal more manageable and dynamically deft.
- It remains impressive that you feel in control of the 707, that it doesn’t set out to scare you or impress you just for the sake of it. There’s real depth to its development that’s very easy to experience and hard not to appreciate.
- Applaud the DBX for what it is – a brief-nailing modern masterpiece that’s somehow both a consummate family car (practical, comfortable, spacious, quiet) and absolutely an Aston Martin. Full of character and more engaging to drive than we ever dared dream.
