The Vantage is a name that Aston Martin have used on cars in the past but the modern reinterpretation of it has become the best selling Aston Martin of all-time playing a major part in the brands revival over the last decade. There have been many variants for sale including the hugely popular V8 Vantage and the sublime V12 Vantage. The entry-level V8 Vantage is the leanest and most agile Aston Martin for sale known as the baby Aston by some and is the cheapest way to buy into the Aston Martin brand. Its smaller in size than the DB9 it was based on and much more compact being a 2 seater but this multi-award winning car might just be the best looking one of the lot. The Vantage first went for sale in 2005 with a 4.3L Jaguar-derived V8 engine with a manual gearbox though a Sportshift semi-automatic gearbox was introduced as an option when the ‘Roadster’ version was produced in 2007. It was praised for it’s understated beautiful looks with such great proportions that have made it seem timeless and still looks as stunning now as it did back in 2005. As with all modern Aston Martins the aura of class and style is overwhelming, the quintessentially British feel adding to the sense of occasion that very few brands can even come close to. The soundtrack is simply superb, the engine hums delightfully as you go through the gears and adds to the exciting character of the car. It offers a superb balance of power and handling making it thrilling to drive whilst being relaxing when you want it to be and is surprisingly reliable and practical making it a great everyday car. The car has been updated through it’s years with a power increase in 2008 to 4.7L and plenty of options and updates added to keep the car fresh and improving with the latest facelift for the 2012 model. The Vantage S is a slightly sportier model while the limited edition V12 Vantage and more recently V12 Vantage S has been universally praised as one of the best driving cars on the market and it’s unique and aggressive styling make it the most desirable car in the Vantage range. There are also ‘Roadster’ convertible variants for sale in each model. Romans are always in the market for buying and selling all variants of the Vantage with the V8 Vantage being particularly popular with our customers.
