The Pagani Huayra Hypercar: A Modern Automotive Masterpiece

  • The Pagani Huayra Hypercar: A Modern Automotive Masterpiece

The uber chic car marque Pagani has just unveiled their Huayra hypercar which has been coined as “a modern automotive masterpiece” at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. This is the latest offering, much rumoured and highly anticipated successor to the Zonda.

The new Pagani Huayra (which is pronounced “h-wire-a”) hypercar is only the second car from the Pagani stable. This new incarnation from Horacio Pagani is truly unique and said to be inspired by the works of Leonardo da Vinci. Horacio Pagani seems to use different approach for the design of his luxury cars, making them a work of art.

The Huayra features a twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 producing 730bhp and 811lb ft of torque, which has been specially produced for Pagani by the performance arm of Mercedes-Benz, AMG. This V12 power-plant will propel 1,350kg Huayra car into the 230mph region, whilst reportedly returning 23.5mpg on the combined cycle, simply amazing!

Technically the Pagani Huayra is as much of a masterpiece for its many trick techie features like the four individual computer-controlled flaps on the Huayra’s upper surfaces, allowing the down force on each corner to be controlled (that’s race car technology). The main structure of the Huayra is exclusively carbon fibre and titanium, exotic materials befitting a car of this calibre.
