Replacement for the Ferrari 599GTB to be announced

Ferrari, the luxury sports car manufacturer, are enjoy an almost cult status in the motoring world. It’s a desirable position for a luxury sports car manufacturer to be in.

They’re not a car manufacturer to rest on their laurels though; Ferrari has hinted they will be unveiling a replacement for the current 599 GTB Fiorano very soon. The new GT replacement, currently codenamed F152, has been spotted by sharp eyed Ferrari fans around its Maranello base in Italy.

The new 599 GT will be aimed firmly at the hyper car market; it will feature an all new and more powerful 6.3 litre V12 direct-injection engine, which will produce 700bhp, that’s 88bhp more than the current car. This will make it the most powerful car in the Ferrari range. With the addition of a new seven speed transmission and Formula 1 style electronic differential together with the extra power this should give the new 599 GT a breathtaking top speed of around 215mph.
