Rare celebrity-owned Ferarri sold at auction

  • Rare celebrity-owned Ferarri sold at auction

A recent car auction at the Silverstone Classic Car sale, saw a rare 2003 Ferrari 575 Maranello, which only has 10,000 miles on the clock eventually purchased for £66,000 by an unknown private buyer.

This car was not only a rare Ferrari 575 Maranello, but also came with some special provenance with famous previous owners which includes the guitar hero Eric Clapton and BBC presenter Chris Evans.

Most people probably know Chris Evans is a huge Ferrari fan and now owns a range of Ferrari cars within his personal collection. Chris’ most recent and most expensive is an ultra rare 1960 Ferrari 250 California Spyder, formally owned by the late film actor James Coburn. The 250 California Spyder is one of only 30 ever made and was purchased for £12 million, earlier in 2011.
