Panamera Estate marking new territory for Porsche

  • Panamera Estate marking new territory for Porsche

Porsche are planning to showcase a concept for a new Panamera Estate at the Paris Motor Show in September. An estate car has long been rumoured to come from Porsche dealers but it is not until now that there could be such a development and although at this time is just a concept there has been demand for something like this for years.

The Panamera hasn’t won everyone over and although there are several different models of the Panamera available including the 4S, the Turbo and more recently the GTS, an estate version could be next in line. According to customer feedback people wanted a more versatile Panamera and the Paris Motor show is set to be the platform to determine how much interest there is.

Current rivals for such a car would include the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake or the smaller Audi RS4 Avant which is set to be released soon. With Bentley and Porsche working closely together there is also talk of an expansion to the Continental Line-Up which could see a new sportier 4-door to replace the Flying Spur.

There is going to be plenty of announcements in the next month or so with the Paris Motor Show in mind to showcase the latest cars and ideas so keep up-to date with our News blog.
