The stunning SF90 Stradale builds upon Ferrari’s venture into hybrid technology, which was first seen in the LaFerrari and not seen again until the Stradale’s release in 2019.  Whilst the technology is similar, the SF90 takes a slightly different approach to the LaFerrari and as a result, is the most powerful road-going Ferrari ever made, with its twin-turbo V8 Hybrid engine producing a whopping 986bhp which achieves a staggering 2.5 second 0-62mph time. The SF90 Spider is the convertible variant of the SF90, featuring a retractable hard top roof. It’s currently the fastest non-limited convertible production car on the market, with power remaining the same as the Stradale, as well as the 0-62mph time staying at 2.5 seconds – keeping it on par with the fabled LaFerrari Aperta.

The car is four-wheel drive, but with two of the three electric motors mounted independently on the front two wheels and the third being mounted to the engine and gearbox to provide a smoother torque curve and battery charging. The electric motors also allow this car to be the first ever Ferrari that can start and drive in silence.

Ferrari have gone to new lengths to kit out the SF90 with sophisticated technology, not just in the powertrain, but also throughout the interior. The design is unmistakeably Ferrari, following a similar format to other V8 Ferraris such as the 488 GTB or F8 Tributo, but ultimately feels a touch more futuristic. Instantly noticeable is a fresh new steering wheel design, featuring touch-controls for various vehicle functions, including start/stop. The steering wheel also contains the controls for the huge digital dash, which is now used for climate control, radio & media functions and other driver assists and convenience. The seats have also been redesigned for both weight-saving and an updated look to both the standard comfort seats, and the stunning optional exposed carbon buckets.

The £47,000 Assetto Fiorano package can be added to the Stradale or Spider and gives the SF90 a race car for the road feel. It includes Ferrari racing derived Multimatic shock absorbers, carbon fibre rear spoiler, full titanium exhaust system, titanium springs and track-bred Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres to further improve the capability of the already monstrous SF90.
