Introducing the V8-converted Twisted Defender – the 430BHP monster version of Land Rover’s long-running and cherished original-shape Defender. While the Land Rover Defender has historically been used for various practical purposes such as military or farming, some owners and specialist companies have started to recognise it as a platform for a grumbling V8 engine and plenty of performance upgrades. That’s where Twisted come in.

Twisted’s mission has always been to re-engineer the Defender to be the best vehicle it can be, and for this specific example that meant swapping the original diesel engine for a 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. It also meant adding a range of performance upgrades including AP Racing brakes, custom dual-exit exhaust, and Full Fox suspension. All of this results in a fantastic combination of the familiar bare-bones, rugged aspects of the Defender along with endless torque and better handling thanks to upgraded suspension, wheels and tyres.

This car has also had some creature comforts and interior upgrades applied. Speaker upgrades with a custom amplifier, paired with Apple Play and an Alpine head unit add an element of luxury for those more understated drives. The car also comes with upgraded leather heated seats, dashboard, centre console and door trims, as well as Alcantara headlining.
