The new Defender was arguably the most anticipated car of 2020, bringing the Defender into the modern era by applying the latest technology available from Land Rover. The upgrades are instantly apparent. From its modern edgy style to the series of onboard computers and stability systems, the new Defender is without a doubt a change for the better. Incorporating computers into everything the Defender does makes for a much more refined driver experience over the previous analogue drive. The long suspension travel provides a soft and gentle ride, absorbing any imperfection in the terrain beneath it. Although it shows good on-road compliance, it is just as impressive off-road, easily navigating through any terrain with the clever Dynamic Stability Control and all-wheel drive system.
Inspired by the Defender featured in film ‘James Bond No Time To Die’, the Bond Edition Defender is based off of the Defender V8 with the supercharged 5.0L V8 engine at its heart. The refined and expertly developed suspension perfectly compliments the immense power delivered from the engine. Combining the capable powertrain and powerful engine means that even the most challenging of terrain can be traversed by the Bond Edition Defender. Subtle additions remind you that you are driving a limited-run model. Some features include ‘ONE OF 300’ laser etching detail, ‘007’ puddle lamps and a rear ‘Defender 007’ badge.
