Fitted with the 7.0L LS7 V8 that was co-developed with Corvette racing, the Z/28 shaves 4 seconds off the ZL1 round the Nürburgring. Being track focused, weight saving has been employed. This includes removal of interior sound deadening, tyre inflation kit, HID lamps, thinner rear window glass and a lighter battery. The only two options available from the factory was air conditioning and radio, both of which this particular example has been specified with. Even with its large dimensions, it deals with UK roads effortlessly.
