The M3 CS is the more practical four-door brother to the M4 CS, boasting more torque and power over the M3 Competition Pack. The limited edition M3 CS receives suspension tweaks, lightweight forged wheels and many exterior and interior styling upgrades, making it extremely appealing to the eye. Combined with its already striking silhouette and aggressive body lines, the M3 CS presents itself as the finest example of the ‘F80’ chassis M cars.
Up front is the familiar 3.0L inline-six twin-turbocharged engine, which for the M3 CS has been tuned to 454 bhp, 10bhp more than the Competition Pack model with torque also being raised. This makes the M3 CS more responsive when turning out of corners with more low-end grunt readily available. The M Sports Exhaust System is standard and comes specifically tuned for the CS, amplifying the 6-cylinder S55 engine tone.
The lightweight forged wheels serve for both styling and performance. Coupled with the re-calibrated Adaptive M Damper software and Active M Differential, the M3 CS eagerly turns into corners, providing the driver with detailed feedback. In Sport+ the suspension stiffens up, allowing the car to pushed to the limit in corners which the M3 CS takes in its stride. The chassis tweaks and lightweight forged wheels makes the M3 CS feel more complete and at home when being driven on the limit, inspiring driver confidence.
The aggressive cooling duct in the carbon fibre bonnet that was first introduced on the M4 GTS keeps engine temperatures down, also adding to the mean stance. Carbon fibre is abundant on the M3 CS with its carbon fibre roof, rear diffuser and front splitter. Styling upgrades aren’t solely confined to the exterior. The leather interior is accompanied by alcantara trim, giving a premium finish. The Lightweight M Sports Seats wrap comfortably around driver and passenger, providing enough bolster to keep you upright when cornering but offering high levels of comfort for long journeys. Being a four-door, the M3 CS naturally has more room than the M4 CS and a moor practical feel, with ample rear leg room and boot space for it to be used every day. The Adaptive M Dampers in Comfort Mode make for a smooth ride, promoting its every day usability as well as its other track personality when in Sport+. The M3 CS is an intensely track focused variant of the M3, with the ability to seamlessly perform as a practical daily car and still put a smile on your face.
