Ferrari Portofino

The Ferrari Portofino was first unveiled in 2017 and replaces the Ferrari California T in the class of Grand Tourers. Like the California T, the Portofino is a retractable hardtop convertible and uses the same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Despite its class as a Grand Tourer the Portofino can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds. The Portofino aims to deliver an even more refined standard of driver experience than the California T, along with the balance of an easy to handle chassis setup.

Everything on the Portofino is an upgrade over the California T. The suspension setup uses new and improved software to produce a smoother ride, whilst having a stiffer suspension setup as standard over its predecessor. The chassis structure is also far more rigid, by 35% in fact, with less individual sections making up the vital chassis components. This allows for a stronger shell and less chassis roll whilst cornering. Interior adjustments, such as an easier to use infotainment system and more rear passenger legroom, have been developed to meet the demands of customers, upon Ferrari addressing customer feedback from the previous model.
