The Aston Martin DBS V12 first arrived for sale in UK showrooms in 2008 as the new flagship sportier model for Aston Martin DB series. Initially only for sale as a manual and with 2 seats it definitely appealed to the more hardcore drivers. In 2009 the Touchtronic gearbox was borrowed and upgraded from the Aston Martin DB9 and offered as an option before replacing the manual gearbox altogether. The Aston DBS also became available with 2+2 seating with rear seats replacing the luggage shelf and the fantastic 10-Speaker 1000W Bang & Olufsen Sound System, becoming standard on later cars.
Though it was first marketed as a hardcore performance car the DBS found its true identity as more of a Super GT similar to the DB9 but lighter, sportier and more aggressive looking. The accurate steering, it’s incredible V12 providing an amazing soundtrack and the trademark Aston Martin stunning looks have made the DBS one of the most desirable sports cars for sale on the market. Though the engine is made in Germany the interior is all British made using the very finest materials adding to the style and sense of occasion. Ceramic brakes come as standard along with a fantastic selection of features and technology. The convertible Aston Martin DBS Volante was produced soon after the coupe and there were also limited-edition cars including the Carbon Edition and the Ultimate Edition.
The 2008 Aston Martin DBS price put it in direct competition with the likes of the Bentley Supersports and the Audi R8 V10. However, the DBS has always been seen as the cooler British alternative, featuring in Bond films such as Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008). There is no doubt it has been one of the best loved modern Aston Martins for sale and is a car that Romans are always excited to stock.
Romans International are based in the London/Surrey area and often have stunning examples of used Aston Martin DBS for sale, in both Volante and Coupe variants. If you are looking to sell your Aston Martin DBS then do not hesitate to Contact Us Here for a valuation, we are often able to offer more competitive prices than other Aston Martin Dealers and love to buy and sell these stunning cars.
