The Alfa Romeo 4C was first revealed as a concept car at the Geneva Motor show in 2011 and went on to be officially launched in 2013. This mid-engined, two-seater, rear-wheel drive sports car is available in two different body styles, the Alfa Romeo 4C coupe and the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, both of which employ a carbon fibre tub for added lightness and stiffness.
The engine is a 1.75-litre four-cylinder turbo which produces 240bhp at 6000rpm and 258lb ft of torque, giving this pocket rocket a power-to-weight ratio in excess of 250bhp per tonne! This extraordinary statistic matches or beats many of the larger capacity supercars, that cost twice as much, meaning the Alfa Romeo 4C’s price represents extraordinary value for money. 0-62 mph is dealt with in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph is achievable in this driver focused masterpiece. This compact and beautiful mid-engine sports car is as stunning to drive as it is to look at and is packed with the soul and charisma synonymous with this iconic Italian car marque.
