2011 was a top year for Porsche and with the worldwide premiere release of the new Boxster and recent European premieres of the Panamera GTS and 911 Carrera Cabriolet, it looks as though 2012 is going to be an exciting time for the Stuttgart based German manufacturer of luxury cars.
This week, certain sources in the automotive world have speculated that Porsche AG will be rolling out their luxury four-door sports saloon in the form of a new plug-in hybrid version starting in 2014. This news possibly holds some weight as the current Audi (Porsche’s sister company) CEO Rupert Stadler apparently told reporters at the Geneva auto show earlier this month that the next-generation Audi A3 will be available as a plug-in hybrid variant during 2014.
This will come as interesting news for those involved in the Plug-In-Hybrid car debate, which will continue. One thing is for sure though; Plug-In-Hybrid technology is a definite future power option and is now becoming more acceptable as a power method and exciting time for future development.
Plus, keep your eye out in the news for ongoing development and testing of Porsche’s new 918 Hybrid supercar prototype, which has some impressive performance figures so far and looks very interesting indeed.
So, if you want more information about Porsche luxury cars or you are considering the purchase of a used Porsche, then maybe it is time to talk to one of the top Porsche dealers in the UK, Romans International in Surrey.
